Follow the signs towards Fowey until you find yourself getting closer and descend a steep hill with high rocky sides on either side usually covered in ivy. You will approach a sign indicating that the main car parks are off the continuation of this road as it veers to the right, but instead you take a left turning here into Lostwithiel Street.

Continue to descend towards the town but turn right at the Esplanade. Please note that if you miss this right turn and descend all the way into the town you face one of two long one way systems and will have to start again.

Continue along the Esplanade following the river towards the sea. You will pass the Fowey Hotel (not to be confused with the Fowey Hall Hotel) and then climb up a narrow hill until it levels out at the top. A little further and you will find a substantial car park to your left of which the furthest section will be marked “Penlee”. Use your key to unlock the sleeping policeman to bay 2 if it is upright and rest it to the ground to allow you to park.

The entrance to the Penlee apartments is immediately opposite. You go up a few steps to the right hand side, along a short path to the front door, ascend one flight of stairs and The Dolphins is the first apartment you will come to on the right.

If you require more detailed information on access please see the separate Access Statement.
